Meet Our Board

Kristen Millard, President & Founder

LODI, CA - My name is Kristen Millard and I am the Founder of Blue Angel of Hope. I previously served as Vice-President of the nonprofit, CHAMPGALT (Community Heroes Appreciation Memorial Project) honoring Galt, California's Fallen K-9 Officer, Kevin Tonn. Officer Tonn was murdered in the line of duty on 1/15/13. I had never met Officer Tonn personally, but when I heard of his passing, it struck me hard and square in the heart. It was then that I knew I wanted to do something to pay it forward and after serving 2 years with dedicated monthly fundraisers in order to raise funds to build his Memorial, CHAMP was no longer needing to hold fundraisers. During my down time I came across the Thin Blue Line Flags and started gifting them to families of the Fallen & catastrophically injured Officers. Before I knew it, 850 flags had been purchased & gifted Nationwide to 35 states plus Canada, Denmark & Germany. The rest is history!

LODI, CA - Lavonne became the Secretary for Blue Angel of Hope when her daughter, Kristen decided to start her Non-Profit Organization to raise funds to purchase Thin Blue Line Flags to send to fallen and injured Law Enforcement Officers, their families, and agencies.  Blue Angel of Hope is close to her heart and she realizes the comfort these flags bring to those who receive them.  From the many Law Enforcement Departments, Officers, and Officers families that have sent Thank You acknowledgements to Blue Angel of Hope, it is clear that these flags show them that someone really does care about them and the unfortunate situations they are in.  Blue Angel of Hope sends love and kindness to these people at a very sad time in their lives and hopefully a little ray of sunshine at a very dark time.  I am proud to be associated with Blue Angel of Hope.

Tony Garcia, Board Member

In August of 2016 I was injured in the line of duty. That’s how Kristen and I met. Kristen was there for me and family during this time and continues to be a great family friend. I became a Blue Angel of Hope Board Member as I want to be able to reach out and help those in need as Kristen has done.
